Tomato Pie and Farm Walk-About

I love tomatoes! I didn't use to, but last year I decided I needed to, and now I think they're so delicious. A few are starting to turn, but it's really taking a while. Anna and I spoke to a woman at the pet store who said that everyone she's spoken to is having the same problem, that their tomatoes aren't ripening. However, we managed to harvest a quite a bit over a few days and I could finally bake tomato pie!

There are a lot of other veggies in the garden too!

So, about the tomato pie! It's really good, Elisheva said it might even be better than the peach pie!

It's really easy, just roll out pie dough, spread a little olive oil, place cut cherry tomatoes cut side up on top, sprinkle with some more oil, add salt, pepper, and ribbons of basil. Bake at 380 F for about 20 min, until the edges start to brown.
