As soon as I made them, Robert ate seven and then told me he felt really sick, but knew it was his fault :). When I asked Elisheva if she'd had one a bit later, she said, "No, I've had four!" These cookies really are winners.
Anna had one and took a bunch for her kids and Rigo, and decided right away to make them too, THEY'RE THAT AWESOME.
When I make them again, I would add about 1/4 cup flour, I found they came out too flat. Even though Eli said that they were perfect, I think that a little more oomph would be good.
I measured them out using an awesome little ice cream scooper, which I think is about tablespoon size. The original recipe says they make 22 cookies, I made about 54 cookies and I think they were a really good size. I also like making smaller cookies though, because it means you can eat more!
I didn't realize they would spread so much, but again, when I make these a second time, I will definitely add some more flour to the batter.
Since I have a little bit of the add-ins left but not enough to make a whole other batch, I think tomorrow I will make more but adding in also chocolate chips, pecans, and pretzel pieces, a la the famous Momofuku's compost cookies. Even though these are a little pricey to make (the bag of macadamia nuts cost $5!!!) they are so worth it.
Update: Anna made the "compost cookies" yesterday and they are probably the best things I have ever eaten in my life. She mixed in pecans and chocolate chips (in addition to the white choc, macadamias and toffee), and added more flour, so they were puffier and heftier cookies. Muj bueno.
