Farm Walk-About (and other things)

This morning was bright and wonderful, and I went to harvest all the things I could find.

There is so much green in the garden! Thankfully, there is also the red, purple and yellow of ripened vegetables.

A little later, we were working in the barn to enlarge the ceiling of one of the rooms to turn it into a sprouting room. The plan is to buy barley, wheat, and other grain seeds and then sprout them to feed to the sheep. The sprouting increases their nutritional value, is cheaper, and is also more space efficient. I was hanging out with Mikey in the larger area of the barn, and he wanted to take a picture of me with Rocky.

We then of course put the camera on a timer and took pictures of both of us with Rocky.

For lunch, I made a delicious pasta dish from what I had harvested earlier. I put a chopped up zucchini, the tiny tomatoes, some onion we had from the garden, and a little chopped up eggplant in a baking pan, added olive oil and salt, and then put it into the toaster oven onto dark toast until the pasts was done. I think mixed it with pasta and pesto I had made a little while ago from the basil in the garden. Muj bieno!
